Redact PII from a PDF — free, no upload
Find common personal data in a PDF, then permanently black it out before you share. Everything runs in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
1. Scan first
Open Privacy scanner. It looks for emails, US phones, SSNs, cards, IBANs, and similar patterns in selectable text and shows a report — without changing the file.
2. Auto-redact matches
Then use Auto-redact PII. Matched pages are rasterized with black covers so the underlying text cannot be copied from the download. Untouched pages stay as they were.
3. Review, then share
Pattern matching is not a guarantee of every secret. Check every page. For a full prep pipeline (strip metadata, CONFIDENTIAL stamp, encrypt), use Confidential Send.
