How to merge multiple PDFs into one

Desktop apps and OS-specific tricks still work, but a browser-based merge means the same workflow on a work PC, a MacBook, and a phone — without installing Acrobat or sending files to a cloud merger.

If the PDFs are unlocked, you can drag them into order and download a single file in under a minute.

Step by step

  1. 1Open Merge PDF in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android.
  2. 2Add every unlocked PDF you want in the combined file.
  3. 3Drag the list into the final page order.
  4. 4Click Merge and download the combined PDF.
  5. 5If one file is password-protected, unlock it first, then merge.

Windows and Mac

You do not need Preview, Edge “print to PDF” tricks, or a paid suite for a straight concatenate. Keep the browser tab open until the download finishes; large batches are limited by device RAM, not by an OS quota.
