How to add a signature to a PDF

Most everyday “sign this PDF” requests mean a visible ink-style mark, not a cryptographic certificate. Sign PDF places a drawn or uploaded signature image on the page.
It is not a substitute for certificate-based e-sign platforms. If your school or employer requires DocuSign-style certificates, use that system instead.
Step by step
- 1Open Sign PDF and load the document.
- 2Draw a signature or upload an image of your signature.
- 3Place it on the correct page and position.
- 4Sign and download. Keep an unsigned original if you still need one.
What this is not
This does not create a legally certified digital signature with a private key. It is a visual approval mark — appropriate when the recipient only needs to see a signature on the page.
Limits
- Not a cryptographic / certificate digital signature.
- Follow your organisation’s rules for what counts as an accepted signature.
- Processing is local; the file is not uploaded to mypdf.space.
